Winter Reflections with Abigail’s Garden: A Look Back and What’s Ahead ❄️🎶

Ah, February… a month that feels like the quiet pause before the world awakens to spring. For Abigail’s Garden, it’s a time to reflect on the joy we shared over the holiday season while gearing up for new musical adventures. December brought a whirlwind of festive fun, frosty fingertips, and heartwarming moments that we won’t soon forget!
A Merry and Chilly December
We kicked off the holiday season with Christmas caroling at The Shoppes at Belmont in Lancaster. On three magical (and very cold!) Saturdays, we sang carols with our talented friends, The Jingle Singers. Despite the chill, the festive spirit kept us going, along with some piping hot cocoa (& ... maybe ... some spirits)!
Our holiday lineup included Tish Brown on fiddle and ukulele, Laurie Reese on cello and fiddle, and a merry group of musicians including Jackson Houston & Dave Horton on guitar, Mindy Zimmerman on bass, Kathy Coleman, Avelline McKee, & Deb Aberts on vocals, Ryan Bright playing harmonica -- and even Joe Coleman on bagpipes!
We also brought holiday cheer to The Log Cabin with a cozy set of Christmas tunes and wrapped up the year at Weathered Vineyards in Ephrata, where we were joined by our sister, Mindy Zimmerman, on bass—a delightful new addition to our sound. Look for more of Mindy in upcoming performances!
Tish and I took a little break and went down to see the Christmas lights at Longwood Gardens; what a beautiful experience!
